What Niche?

Niche Ideas come from many different places. Despite what I said yesterday they can come from your passion (if it makes money) but today I am going to show you how to get ideas even if you have no idea what to write about.

I am assuming that you are open to the idea of writing about any subject that makes you money. You may need to do some fast research about your subject and set up a website very quickly with some fast social site marking, but this is the way I would find an idea without any ideas…

Niche Idea Search

Go to Google Trends and Google will show you a list of the top 10 niches that are exploding at the very minute you search. When I searched I came back with the following:

2 www.fluidnow.com claim your weeks
3 yard sale treasure map
4 fluidnow
5 florida unemployment claim weeks
6 h1n1 vaccine risks
7 regina lasko picture
8 layne staley
9 holly hester pictures
10 green bay newspaper

I noticed that items 2,4 and 5 seem to be related and indeed upon further research they were. This is about an online unemployment benefit system and seems to be going particularly hot in Orlando, Miami and Jacksonville in Florida according to Google Trends, which could be used in advertising your site at a local level.

I then jumped over to Blogspot and logged into my account and checked to see if www.fluidnow.blogspot.com was available and yes it was. I then quickly went to Whois to see if www.fluidnowflorida.com was available and yes it was (Fluidnow.com is obviously taken already).

I have established that it is possible to make two sites with the keywords already and could get both of these on line in minutes with a quick site and a fast bit or research and writing.

Now I have no idea what these sites are about and I have no product for them yet, so I would make these sites information sites and use Google Adsense or some other advertising medium and look to see if I could act as an affiliate for other sites in the same niche. With a day or two I could research more and get a product up about unemployment or finding a new job or starting my own business or something similar for the unemployed.

Now this is just one of many ways that can be used to find niche Ideas and what I like about Google Trends is that it is fast and up to the date and gives you results based on what is really happening at the moment of search unlike Niche Software and keyword software which gives you results of what happened in the past.

Google Trends is real. Real people searching for real things and if you can move fast, then you can make small mini sites and blast the local areas with information to capitalize of the changing trends.
